I have been searching all over for a good Da Hong Pao since my previous supplier stopped carrying it. I have tried 14 and this one is by far the best. Nice smokey aroma of cocoa and full flavor with hints of caramel and rose.

First of all, for the great service. I placed my order late morning on a Friday, and received it Monday. I'm in the Northeast edge of NY, on the MA border.
Now to the tea. For many years I've been buying single estate teas from a small purveyor in Western MA who closed shop a few years ago. Although I love trying new teas, mainly black, my all time fave was from this tea garden. Tea Trekker called theirs Everest Dark Heart, and I bought what I could when they closed.
Since then I've tried 3 other Nepali teas supposedly from this tea garden, all of which dissapointed. Yours is the first that comes close. I understand that each year/seasons harvest differs. Although this is not quite the same I'll be sure to be ordering more in the future.

It’s nutty, warm, earthy, multidimensional and an easy and short steep/brew. Also very calming.
